By taking this Level One Award in Horse Knowledge & Care you will gain a solid grounding of knowledge in horse care & management and the ability to care confidently for a horse.
This course is the second in our series of Horse Knowledge & Care Certificates. This professionally produced course by Equine Distance Learning is aimed at people who are looking to learn about more intermediate skills in horse care. This horse care course will suit horse riders, prospective horse owners or sharers, people wishing to update their knowledge and home educated children with a passion for horses.
The Level One Award in Horse Knowledge and Care is completed by distance learning without the need to travel anywhere. You can work at your own pace and around your other commitments. Assessments are also completed via distance learning and then sent in for marking. You will benefit from full tutor support throughout the course and will not be charged any extra for the marking of your assessments. Once you have completed the course successfully you will be awarded with an Equine Distance Learning Horse Knowledge & Care Level One Certificate.

Sarah has 8 years experience of lecturing at an Equine College where she has acquired valuable skills in writing courses, assessments and in helping students to achieve. Sarah founded Equine Distance Learning in 2010 and her City and Guilds Level 5 Certificate in Further Education also guarantees you will receive high quality teaching material.

What happens after I have enrolled?
You will have immediate access to the course material and can begin to study the course straight away!
How does studying via distance learning work?
Once you have enrolled on the course you can begin steadily working your way through the course modules, completing learning activities in your workbook. When you have finished the workbook you will send it to your tutor for marking and feedback.
What happens if I have any questions about the course?
When you enrol on the course we will allocate you a tutor - you can contact your tutor as little or as often as you need to. If you have any questions at any stage we will be here to support you and offer guidance,
How is the course examined?
This course is assessed buy the submission of a completed workbook. As you make your way through the course you will complete Learning Activities for each Module in the Workbook provided - you will then need to submit the Workbook to us for marking. The pass mark is 60%.
What will I receive on successful completion of the course?
You will receive a Certificate from Equine Distance Learning.
